Birrell Signature Photography helps you get the best senior portrait for your money!
MYTH - It's easy to know the best deal - just look at the advertising materials being sent and compare package to package.
FACT - Unfortunately, the advertising and terminology can be confusing. We welcome a call at 691-6220 to help you sort it out and truly compare apples to apples. We are happy to answer questions and you don't have to schedule with us to receive our interest and help.
MYTH - The cheapest photographer can do just as good for less.
FACT - Skill, experience, training, creativity & technique ... plus a lot of other intangibles go into each portrait we take. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" is so true with photographers. We are highly skilled and experienced professionals; Jim has been a full time (not part-time, not occasional) photographer for over 28 years.
You also may be surprised to find out that the low price at some studios is designed to get you in the door and then you get hit with extra charges for basic retouching, mounting, gift folders, wallet signatures, black & white and sepia images, and more ... ALL things that we automatically include at no extra charge. When you add up all the extra charges, you could end up spending a lot more for portraits at the "cheap studio" and not have the portraits you really want!
All that said, we are definitely NOT the most expensive studio in the metro area. Compare prices and quality and you'll see the tremendous value we offer.
MYTH - The studio with no session fee is the best deal.
FACT - We have developed our pricing with feedback from our customers. They tell us they are much happier to pay a session fee for our time and the Previews Album, than to be limited to a small number of outfits and a quickie session - or - to be forced to spend an outrageous amount of money just to have a great selection of images.
Then there is the super value of our Previews Album. You don't have to purchase unretouched "proofs/previews" at $15 a pop just to get those other poses. You get a lot of poses in your Previews Album and they are all lightly retouched because we know you want to show them and be proud of them!
MYTH - I'd like to go to Birrell's but at my school, you have to get your senior portrait done by the school's studio!
FACT - you can get your Senior Portraits done anywhere you like. Don't confuse the yearbook shot with your senior portraits ... big difference. While the majority of metro schools accept yearbook shots from where ever you go for your senior portraits, some do require you to go to their contract studio for the yearbook shot. (We provide yearbook prints free with our sessions and we are knowledgeable about what your school requires.)
MYTH - If I have to go to the school's contract studio I might as well get my senior portraits from them rather than pay for two sittings.
FACT - If you are required to get your yearbook shot taken by the school's studio, you should receive the session and the picture, FREE. [Though we have heard that some contract studios are charging $15 for the yearbook print - shame on them!] You must be certain to tell them you want the "Yearbook Only" sitting - unfortunately, they are not going to tell you. Then you can get your senior portraits wherever you'd like ... it's about freedom of choice !
